Business Ethics

The management of Tata Metaliks is guided by business ethics, which in itself is an organised process. The Tata Code of Conduct 2015 which lays down the principles and standards that should govern the actions of the Company and the employees, serves as a binding principle in matters of all legal and ethical behaviour.

Ethics Counsellor (EC)

The first step towards creating ethics awareness among all employees and also the Company’s suppliers/ partners/ customers is the appointment of an Ethics Counsellor (EC). Tata Metaliks has appointed an Ethics Counsellor to create awareness and address concerns through communication sessions and various regional meets.

Complaint Mechanism

Tata Metaliks has a robust complaint mechanism for employees, suppliers, customers and shareholders. Complaints are placed by means of phone calls, letters, e-mail and even meetings with EC. The EC, after consulting MD or even Chairman and the independent directors, processes these complaints which are then resolved through personal counselling or punitive action towards the concerned employees. The action taken is communicated to the stakeholder raising the concern.

Whistleblower Policy

The Company also has in place'Whistleblower Policy'and'Whistleblower Policy for Vendors'which guarantees adequate safeguard to a whistleblower.

The efficiency of all these processes is reviewed through Stakeholders' perception surveys, MBE assurance, etc., on the basis of which improvement actions, if desired, are planned and implemented.
