Born in 1968, Mr. Chatterjee is an Honours Graduate in Commerce from Calcutta University and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Mr. Chatterjee joined Tata Steel limited in 1995 in Jamshedpur. He was then transferred to Tata Sons Limited in 1999 in the Group Executive Office. He re-joined Tata Steel Limited on August 1, 2003 and was appointed as the Group CFO in 2008. He was inducted on the Board of Tata Steel Limited effective November 9, 2012. Further he was appointed as Group Executive Director (Finance & Corporate), Tata Steel in 2013 and re-appointed as Whole Time Director effective November 9, 2017 designated as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer.
During the last 15 years in the Company, he has been part of the top leadership team in the company and has led the Company's finance function and provided stewardship in the areas of financial strategy, performance management, large and complex financing in India and overseas, mergers acquisitions & divestments, risk management, reporting and control, investor relations and taxation. He has also been deeply involved in portfolio restructuring and turnaround of various Subsidiary Companies.
Mr. Chatterjee has been a member of the Primary Market Advisory Committee of the SEBI and was member of the task force set up by SEBI that drafted the Takeover Code. He was also the member of the Global Preparers Forum, the advisory body to the International Accounting Standards Board, London. He is currently a speaker in University of Oxford on Covid 19 and its impact on global economy; Co-Chair of the CII National Steel Committee; member of the Working Group on Group Insolvency set up by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India; the CII National Council; the CII Corporate Governance and Financial Reporting Committees; and the Advisory Council to CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development. He is also a member of the United Nations Global Compact CFO Task Force on Sustainable Development Goals; the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) set up by FSB Basel; the Task Force on Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets set up by International Institute of Finance Washington and COP26; the Steering Committee of the UK Voluntary Carbon Markets Forum; the International Integrated Reporting Council UK and the UNEP and Danish Technical Institute led Global Stock Trade (iGST) Adaption Working Group to review compliance with Paris Climate Agreement. He is a member of the World 50 Finance Officer Forum and of the British Academy project on Future of the Corporation.
He is also a frequent speaker in various conferences in India and abroad and has been recognised as one of India's best CFOs by several organisations like Business Today Magazine, CNBC, Asiamoney and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK. In March 2019, he was awarded the CFO Lifetime Achievement Award by the Financial Express.
Mr. Sandeep Kumar has over 29 years of work experience with the Tata group having joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1991. He has handled various responsibilities having worked in different cities and countries. His core experience revolves around commercial and General Management responsibilities in the business of Steel and Steel raw materials including ferro-alloys and non-ferrous metals.
He is currently the Managing Director of Tata Metaliks, a listed company on BSE and NSE. He has earlier been the Managing Director of S&T Mining Pvt Ltd (a JV Company of Tata Steel and SAIL for coal mining) from 2008 to 2012.
Mr. Kumar is a Mining Engineer from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad and a postgraduate in International Trade from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. He has also participated in various Management & Leadership Development Programs including that at Leeds University Business School in UK where he won the British Chevening Scholarship in 1999 and at CEDEP, France where he attended its flagship General Management program in 2017.
He is closely associated with various industry bodies; as the Managing Committee member of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI), as a member of the CII Eastern Region council as also an executive member of Indian Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Sanjiv Paul is Vice President, Safety Health & Sustainability at Tata Steel Ltd.
Mr. Paul, graduated in Metallurgical Engg. and joined Tata Steel Ltd. (TSL) in 1986 as Graduate Trainee. After working in Steel Melting Shops in various capacities and completion of a Senior Management program at CEDEP, France, he moved on to assume Leadership roles in areas of General Management in TSL.
In the past, he has been Managing director of JUSCO (now TSUISL), Tata Metaliks and VP (Corporate Services), TSL.
He is an avid reader and a golfer.
Krishnava started his legal career at Calcutta High Court. After a short stint at the high court, he joined ICICI Bank in Mumbai where he gained several years of experience in handling transactions involving stressed assets and the international banking sector. He joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2005 and was made partner in 2007. He retired from Amarchand Mangaldas in June 2009 after which he founded Argus Partners.
Forbes India in its Legal Powerlist 2020 recognised Krishnava as one of the Top 50 Managing Partners and as one of the Top 100 Individual Lawyers for Insolvency & Bankruptcy and Mergers & Acquisitions. Pingali Venugopal has teaching, industry, consulting and research experience in the Marketing function for over 40 years. He has been a faculty at XLRI, Jamshedpur since 1994 and the Dean of the institute from 2004 to 2010. He has also been a visiting faculty to leading institutes in India including the Indian Institutes of Management in Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ranchi, Kashipur, Visakhapatnam and Indore and international institutes including American University of Armenia and Educatis University Switzerland. He has also been inducted as a co-trainer for programmes done by Indo- US-Africa Trilateral co-operation on food security for functionaries from Kenya, Malawi and Liberia. Prior to joining academics, Venugopal worked in the marketing department of Coromandel Fertilisers and Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals ltd for a period of 10 years. He has published 8 books and several articles in leading international journals. European Scientific Research Journal recognized him with the prestigious Distinguished Scholar Award for 2021.
Ms. Shah has over 20 years of experience in financial services. She joined Tata Steel in 2012 and is currently Group Head - Corporate Finance and Risk Management. Ms. Shah looks after the Treasury and financing requirements of the Tata Steel Group. Ms. Shah is also the Chief Risk Officer of Tata Steel and has spearheaded the implementation of an enterprise wide risk management practice across the Tata Steel Group.
Dr Rupali Basu, a veteran in healthcare sector in India is currently the Managing Director of Woodlands Multispecialty Hospital Ltd, Kolkata. She held the positions of Non-executive Director, IQ City Medical College and Hospital, Durgapur; President and CEO Eastern Region of Apollo Hospitals Group, India and General Manager, Kolkata for Wockhardt Hospitals Limited, Mumbai before amongst many others. Dr Basu is a medical graduate from R G Kar Medical College, Kolkata and have post graduate training in Health and Hospital Management from Harvard and Delhi Universities. She is known for her pioneering work in bringing Quality Systems and Accreditation in Healthcare in India. Her contribution in developing Superspeciality Tertiary Care hospital services in Eastern India specifically Cancer, Cardiac and Emergency care is instrumental in bringing back the confidence of people in healthcare in the Region.
Mr. Ghosh, a CMA and MBA (XLRI), has over 37 years of experience in various greenfield ventures, brownfield expansion/ diversification and acquired ongoing concerns. His areas of expertise include corporate financial restructuring, strategic planning exercise, acquisition integration and implementation of turnaround plans, among others. He has served in Tata Steel and its group companies, and is a member of The Institute of Directors. As a Rotarian with Rotary Club of Calcutta, he engages in various community welfare services.
