Continuous Learning

At Tata Metaliks, the workforce is empowered by providing development opportunities through continuous training and exposure to the latest technology and management techniques. The organisation notices, appreciates and rewards performance of individuals and teams from shop floor level to senior management level. The assessment of performance of individuals is balanced and fair, with opportunities being offered to all. The reward and recognition policy is aimed at bringing about positive reinforcement to individuals to excel in the work that they do. The Organisation believes that it would also help in fostering a climate of creativity, innovation and enthusiasm making the work place a source of enjoyment also.

The Organisation encourages zero-stress workplaces. It believes in allowing people to overcome the fear of failure by encouraging those who would like to experiment with new ideas. Committing mistakes, which help in learning is never an issue in the organisation. It gives employees opportunities to unlearn and relearn. Voluntary Service and citizenship

Very few get an opportunity to do voluntary service along with a regular job. The Organisation offers an opportunity to all to undertake voluntary service; in fact those who volunteer get points in their annual performance ratings also. There is a team of volunteers who drive the ‘Sadbhavana’ initiative in the Organisation (Sadbhavana is a charitable trust formed with the aim to help the needy in and around the plant) Employees, including their spouses, interested in volunteering can become members of this initiative. Employees associate themselves in the literacy programme run for village ladies, health camps, blood donation camps, and self-help groups for self-employment as well as work for those affected by natural calamities.

By doing this, Organisation encourages the employees to venture beyond the boundaries of regular work, plan and take social responsibilities so that they can bring about improvement in the lives of people. The Organisation believes that it will infuse the work environment with high energy.
