Tata Metaliks' topline grows 42%
Tata Metaliks has reported a PBT of Rs.30.83 Crores for the first quarter ended June 2008, as compared to Rs.23.68 Crores during the first quarter of F. Y. 07- 08 (a significant 30% increase). The turnover for the same period has clocked Rs.343.91 Crores, a 42% increase over the corresponding quarter in the last year (Rs.242.21 Crores). The Company, with its 5 operational MBFs, 2 at Kharagpur and 3 at Redi, produced 91,035 tons of Hot Metal during the first quarter of the 08-09 F. Y. and has despatched 89,372 tons of Pig Iron during the same period.
The financial results for the first quarter of the 07-08 fiscal were approved by the Board on July 16, 2008 and were also highlighted at the 18th AGM of the Company held later during the day. Speaking at the AGM, Chairman reiterated that the Company is progressing steadily towards its goals of reinforcing its position as the leading pig iron manufacturer in the world. |
